Next meeting date - Monday 26th September 2011, 7.30pm - Part One with Special Guest Eddie McGrath presenting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
The following is a message from our Chairman regarding this evening...
Dear Colleagues
At the recent RA conference a session was given and based on the well known TV game Who wants to be a Millionaire. However we have changed the format to make it interesting, with a bit of learning and a lot of FUN. It will be a fun evening with nothing prepared apart from the questions and answers contained in the presentation. It is obviously interactive with the lifelines as on the T.V. programme except they cannot “phone a friend” but can select someone out of the audience for advice. I have to say that the questions are not difficult but at the same time require some thought. Ad-libbing plays a great part.
The last part comes from a special guest we have invited to present the game, Eddie McGrath, an Everton man through and through. He Refereed as a Class 1 (before levels were introduced) at probably level 4 but possibly level 3. He was declared “too old” at 44 years but has carried on at local level to this day.
He assesses at supply league level, is the Referee Director at Everton Academy, Tutor Level 2, and mentors the up and coming Referees. He is also Secretary/Treasurer of Liverpool County R.A. and Bootle & District Society.
In his spare time he is an R.A. Board member and proud to be so.
This will be fun for both members and non members and I really hope you will come and join us on Monday 26th September at Alconbury Sports and Social Club starting at 7.30pm.
Once again, our thanks must go to Paul Barnes for organising our Prediction Competition this season.

Fitness Training
Starting at 7.30pm at Alconbury Sports & Social Club, Referees will have the opportunity to train with each other, just for fun or in preparation for Fitness Tests. The evening will consist of a variety of exercises so you will need to bring running trainers as well as football boots, senior referee's will take the lead. Changing and shower facilities are available.
