Training for Refereeing is something that should continue throught our whole refereeing career. This training should encompass both physical & mental training that will enable us to be the best Referee we can. The following documents and links are there to help with both.

New Training facilities at Alconbury FC
There has been a number of improvements made at Alconbury Sports and Social Club, we now have new changing facilities with excellent showers. Also we now have a new surface to train on. Training will now take place during the winter months on a new 3G Astro turf floodlit surface on Thursday evenings.
Training starts at 7.30pm (prompt!) and finishing at 8.30pm (prompt!). Referees will have the opportunity to train with each other, just for fun or in preparation for games or future fitness tests. The evening will consist of a variety of exercises. No metal studs can be worn on this new surface, only astro trainers or rubber studs allowed!
Costs of these new facilities have been passed on to the customers, therefore your support would be much appreciated. Children are welcome if they wish to train and we generally finish off with a game of football. Afterwards we all have a drink in the bar and chat over many refereeing issues that have cropped up.
Come and train with Premier & Football League officials.
I hope to see you there.

This PowerPoint Presentation will go part way to explaining the Role of the County FA Training Co-ordinator, explain the role of the Fitness Team Leaders and raise awareness of the need to train. The presentation was first given at a Hunts RA General meeting by Kevin in May of 2002 but is still relevant today. Feel free to make contact with your local Fitness Team Leaders (Paul Barnes, Brian O'Sullivan, Ian Wilson & Mike Shaw) to find out where the next training session is near you!
